Pickup

Update on Nissan Pickup
A little while ago in November of 2016
In the end of March 2015, I was driving my pickup about 15 miles to do worship for church and while crossing the Blue Bridge (Kennewick, WA) the truck suddenly went from the engine runnung normal to overheating and becoming gutless all of a sudden. About a courter of a mile, the truck was blowing white smoke out of the engine at 300 to 500 rpm. I parked it and looked at it and started investigating on what might be the issue.
First, I thought it was probably a blown head gasket. So I checked and looked at the radiator fluid. It was full to about empty. Then looked at the oil and the oil was full of radiator fluid. So I assumed that I was correct about the blown head gasket leaking fluid into the oil pan.
Stripped the head off and inspected the engine and pistons to see if there was any sign of it leaking. There was and replaced it back together. After all that was finished and done, I started the pickup and smoked like crazy. took the exhaust off the ruck and smoke was still coming out of the engine. Looked at the oil and it was completely full of radiator fluid once again. So inspected it again. Thought that the gasket wasn't making a seal, so we did it all over again.
After doing the repeat of the engine, we checked the oil before putting the radiator fluid on. it was all good. started pouring the radiator fluid in and instantly it was flowing into the oil pan. I had a mechanic look at it and explained what we did. The mechanic explained stuff about what it could be but it would only do it if the engine was running. Then the conclusion.
Before I tell you what was the issue, I need to tell you that I was towing a full utility trailer the day before the issue started. I drove it up the steepest hill in the Kennewick, WA.
The Mechanic explained that the engine block was cracked internally which made it do what it did.

I like biking

I biked on Monday June 3rd from the Blue Bridge (Pioneer Memorial Bridge) to Share-House Coffee House and back. Longest bike ride I have ever done continuously. It's about 11.8 to 12.0 Miles one way. It was a challenge with a mountain bike. Yet, I should bike the Columbia Park Trail  next time and do it all.

The next trip I want to do is travel the whole trail next to the river which would be about 14.8 to 15.0 Miles one way. I want that to be my goal for the year without being winded.

What can I do to make it possible and have more energy at the end?
Examples:
 - Different bike type?
 - learn to breathe better?

Please leave comment.

Welcome

-- Welcome to Tim's Taboo and hope it is inviting to you all --

What this site is for is to meet other people, show what I know, and try new technology. This is all new to me. The one thing I like most to do is mountain biking and playing music. The career job that I want to get into is Diesel Mechanics/Technology. The college that I most likely is going to go is Lewiston College or Spokane Community College.

Beginning

I am making this to know people and dhow what I know. I am all new at this and I hope you like it.
